New membership combines long-term cybersecurity research with digital literacy, networking, and societal resilience.
The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) is a new member of Deutschland sicher im Netz e.V. (DsiN). Going forward, the Cyberagentur will contribute its expertise on new technologies and long-term cyber threats to the network. At the same time, it is expanding its collaboration with stakeholders committed to security and expertise in the digital space.
Since 2006, “Deutschland sicher im Netz” has been committed to cybersecurity and digital literacy. Its focus is on citizens and consumers and on how they can use digital services safely, competently, and independently. Under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the association provides practical knowledge about digital opportunities and risks. To this end, DsiN brings together stakeholders from civil society, business, and politics. Key topics for 2026 include digital identities, artificial intelligence, digital sovereignty, and disinformation.
“If you want to strengthen cybersecurity, you have to start thinking today about the threats and technologies of tomorrow,” explains Isabelle Rosière, Executive Director of Deutschland sicher im Netz e.V., “With the Cyberagentur, ‘Deutschland sicher im Netz’ is gaining a strong partner that consistently thinks ahead in terms of research, innovation, and digital sovereignty. Together, we want to help ensure that technological progress also leads to greater security and digital resilience for our society.”
For the Cyberagentur, membership opens up additional opportunities to contribute insights from strategically oriented cybersecurity research to the broader societal and policy-specific discourse. To this end, the DsiN network offers, among other things, dialogue formats, events, publications, and participation in selected projects.
“Cybersecurity requires collaboration and an early focus on new risks,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Christian Hummert, research director at the Cyberagentur. “We want to contribute our research expertise to the discussion on how the Internet can remain secure in the future, even in the face of new technologies. At the same time, DsiN offers us the opportunity to work with various societal stakeholders to raise awareness of emerging threats. Research and digital education can complement each other very effectively in this regard.”
Membership thus brings together two different perspectives: The Cyberagentur examines technological developments and security issues with a long-term perspective. DsiN addresses digital security and literacy in business and society. The goal of this collaboration is to help identify new risks earlier and make insights into technological changes more widely accessible.
