International Innovation Fair Kicks Off in Paris
The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) is participating in VivaTech in Paris, which begins today. At the German joint booth, Pavilion 7, Booth 3F29, it will provide information from June 17 to 20, 2026, on disruptive cybersecurity research, international cooperation, and opportunities for participation.
The Cyberagentur is participating in VivaTech 2026 in Paris. The international innovation fair begins today, June 17, 2026, and runs through Saturday, June 20, 2026. The opening event took place on June 14 on the Champs-Élysées. During the largest innovation fair, exhibitors presented technologies and innovations to a wide audience.
The Cyberagentur is represented at the German federal government’s joint booth. Visitors can find it in Pavilion 7, Booth 3F29. There, the Cyberagentur will provide interactive insights into its work, present its research approach, and explain how disruptive cybersecurity research is developed from the initial idea through the early laboratory stage.
The focus is on discussions with international stakeholders from academia, industry, startup ecosystems, and government innovation structures. The Cyberagentur demonstrates how interested parties from Europe can participate in research programs. This includes, in particular, research institutions, companies, and consortia that wish to contribute technological approaches with high innovation potential to early-stage cybersecurity research.
“Cybersecurity does not develop in isolation. Anyone who wants to strengthen digital sovereignty in the long term needs international cooperation, scientific excellence, and the courage to anticipate technological risks early on,” says Prof. Dr. Christian Hummert, Research Director at the Cyberagentur. “VivaTech offers a strong, international environment for this. We want to use the event to explain how our research programs work and how international partners can contribute with compelling ideas.”
Another highlight of the program is a keynote address by Dr. Julian Laufs, Head of the Partner and Knowledge Management Division, in which he will introduce the Cyberagentur. His presentation will cover the agency’s mission, areas of focus, and working methods. At the trade show, the Cyberagentur will demonstrate how research with high disruptive potential in cybersecurity is funded.
VivaTech is also relevant to the Cyberagentur because Germany will play a special role at the international trade show in 2026. Under the joint German umbrella, spaces will be created for exchange, visibility, and concrete discussions about European and international innovation cooperation. For the Cyberagentur, this provides a suitable framework for positioning cybersecurity research as a strategic priority for the future.
