This means that the (further) development of cryptosystems is being driven forward, which should not only be resistant to attacks by classical computers and quantum computers, but whose implementation should also withstand current and foreseeable new side-channel attacks. The program focuses on ensuring high, holistic side-channel resistance by means of efficient countermeasures. Here, holistic means that resistance to as many of the known attacks and types of side channels as possible should be enabled. Efficiency of the countermeasures means that the overhead caused by the countermeasures is as low as possible and that the overall system therefore only suffers minimal performance losses.<br\/>At the end of the program, laboratory-scale demonstrators with a technology readiness level (TRL) of less than or equal to 4 must be delivered and tested for side-channel resistance. These implementations, which should be as general as possible, must be applied to at least one use case in internal and external security and analyzed.
