For example, a characterization of the room can be mapped to a unique digital fingerprint using partial room acoustic parameters, which can potentially provide investigative clues within criminal prosecution proceedings. For example, a room can be characterized in terms of size, condition and location (indoor\/outdoor) in order to ideally be able to act in time-critical application scenarios, such as kidnapping or missing persons cases.
