  1. \n Status:<\/span>\n Project phase<\/span>\n<\/li>\n <\/ol>\n

    Description<\/h3>\n\n

    New types of information storage are also being considered as part of the alternative computer architectures project. As there are a large number of architectures, the “Alternative computer architectures”<\/strong> project has been divided into two parts: <\/p>\n\n

    Part I<\/strong> – Preliminary study: A first part will be a preliminary study in which a framework will be created to collect and compare the different architectures and match them with current and future security-related needs and use cases. The contract will be awarded to a contractor. This may be one bidder or a bidding consortium consisting of several members. The project budget for this Part I of the overall project amounts to EUR 1.6 million net. <\/p>\n\n

    Part II<\/strong> – Based on the results of the preliminary study, a separate research competition is planned as the main project to examine the individual architectures.\nThe content, form, duration and other details are still to be determined, also depending on the results of the preliminary study. <\/p>\n\n

    The award procedure<\/strong> for Part I – preliminary study has now been published as an open procedure under award number 2023-I-076<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
